Delightful Danube

Summary

Join us aboard the Ms L’Europe an intimate-sized ship which offers an elegant and welcoming atmosphere and features a restaurant with large windows offering panoramic views and a lounge bar with dance floor. We cruise along the delightful Danube River which flows over 1,700 miles from its origins in southwest Germany to the Black Sea. Our voyage departs from the Hungarian capital, Budapest where we enjoy a city tour including sites such as the iconic Parliament Building and impressive Fisherman’s Bastion. We also enjoy stops in Osijek, Croatia’s greenest city, the Serbian capital Belgrade which has begun to flourish in recent years, the town of Novi Sad and the Romanian riverside town of Orsova. During the voyage we also enjoy a morning exploring the Hungarian city of Pecs, where we visit the University Botanical Gardens home to over 7,000 varieties of plants. We enjoy a full day in the Slovakian capital Bratislava home to a fantasy style castle and also visit two of Budapest’s horticultural gems, the ELTE Botanical Gardens which dates back over 250 years and works to preserve many domestic endangered species and the Soroskar Botanical Gardens which occupy 60 hectares of wild land and it home to forests, ponds and seasonal flower beds.
