Another Gold For Grenada at Chelsea

Another Gold For Grenada at Chelsea

If you’ve been keeping up with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (or if you’ve been lucky enough to visit in person!) you will know that Grenada has won yet another gold medal.

That’s right, Pure Grenada’s spectacular tribute to Grenada’s Greenery Reserves has just won gold at the 2023 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, adding yet another gold medal to their impressive collection. The country won its 15th gold medal in 2019 for its glorious exhibit named ‘A Carnival of Exotic Tropical Blooms’, and it is simply unstoppable in its ongoing success at this legendary yearly event.

Tour manager Trevor Edwards leads our Grenada – Gardens of the Spice Island holiday and he spoke about the country’s success at Chelsea along with his involvement in touring there: “What a joy it is to have knowledge of the many gardens in Grenada that supply material for the stand at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We were privileged to be in Grenada recently while the material was being gathered and packed for the BA flight to London! Indeed, many of the plants and foliage for Chelsea were supplied by gardeners who have now become my good friends.”

For anyone keen to experience the horticultural beauty of this magnificent country, Trevor invites you to join him there later this year on our dedicated ‘Gardens of the Spice Island’ holiday, which currently has a saving of £150pp if you book now.

Grenada - Gardens of the Spice Island

This nine-day tour includes visits to a selection of incredible gardens, both public and privately owned, and there will also be a tasting at River Antoine Rum Distillery along with breakfast with the owner at one of the gardens and more.

Trevor says: “Brightwater’s Gardens of the Spice Island September departure will be a great opportunity to enjoy some of these gardens and even meet the gardeners themselves. Not only that, but we will also encounter the culture and cuisine, and there will be free time to enjoy the sun and sea that the Caribbean is rightly known for. Having visited Grenada on three occasions, I believe this small group tour to be a great way to experience the charm and warmth of welcome offered by the friendly islanders, many of the people who we meet now are genuine good friends. Why not join me there in September? I highly recommend it!”
