Five Brand New UK Holidays For 2022

If you're eager to get out and explore more of the world around you in 2022 with a holiday in the UK, we have five brand new itineraries on offer that can take you!

From a daffodil festival that takes place in a Cambridgeshire village to a walking tour that explores a part of Scotland renowned for its whisky distilling, our new collection of UK holidays for next year is bound to include something for you. So, let's take a look.

Scenic Journeys of the Highlands and Islands

The Highlands and Islands of Scotland provide such a wealth of scenic journeys that it can be a daunting prospect to work out how best to take them all in. This new tour aims to provide the answer to this Caledonian conundrum with an itinerary that ticks off a whole host of visual gems while at the same time providing a series of relaxing, undemanding journeys by train, coach and boat. Enjoy a ride aboard the Jacobite steam train along with a journey on the West Highland Line to Fort William; visit the iconic Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Mull; and take the funicular railwaytto the top of the magnificent Cairngorms.

Walking in Speyside

Speyside is a walker’s paradise, with a network of pathways, many of them on abandoned railway lines with gentle gradients, criss-crossing this rich, fertile landscape of rolling hills and wooded glens. The River Spey lies at its heart and will be our constant companion as we enjoy three easy walks that eventually lead us to the sea on the Moray coast. This holiday also includes a visit to the Scottish Dolphin Centre in Spey Bay, where – if conditions are favourable – it is possible to observe the dolphins as they come to within a few metres of the shore.

Arts and Gardens of the North West

The great cities of the North West of England are home to a remarkable number of world-class museums and art galleries with many outstanding works of art. Our tour begins in Stoke with a visit to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and then we continue to Liverpool, visiting the fabulous Tate. We also take the opportunity to visit some of the best gardens in the North West, beginning at Trentham Estate in Staffordshire, where the contemporary revival of the famous Italian Gardens was also led by Tom Stuart-Smith, and also stopping to discover Tatton Park, whose gardens have developed over 200 years yet retain much of their Edwardian character.

Thriplow Daffodil Festival

Every year the streets of the pretty Cambridgeshire village of Thriplow are lined with masses of daffodils, bringing a welcome splash of colour to the early spring. As well as the displays there are open gardens to explore along with traditional rural events. This holiday also visits the Wimpole Estate, Cambridge University Botanic Gardens, and The Rotunda at Ickworth in Suffolk, which is filled with spectacular paintings and a magnificent collection of Georgian silver. The hotel will be the 4-star Clayton Hotel, Cambridge Belfry Hotel.
