Join us as we explore some of the hidden garden gems of Croatia in the company of Julia Berg, an experienced tour manager and the UK’s expert on Croatia. This two-centre holiday explores the regions of Kvarner and Istria, visiting, beautiful gardens, areas of outstanding natural beauty, flower farms dedicated to the production of natural cosmetics and essential oils together with places of historical importance.

Julia Berg
With over 30 years working in travel and tourism, much of it in Croatia and neighbouring countries of Slovenia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Montenegro and more, Julia still loves the magic of travel and meeting new people. She is known as the UK expert on Croatia. She speaks French, Croatian, Spanish, German and loves exploring old traditions and new, hidden secrets. Most recent escorted tours have been of Croatia, Albania, Slovenia, Spain. What she most loves about Croatia? - the Adriatic sea, pristine nature (especially the scent of pine trees), cultural diversity, food and wine, history and the welcome of the local people. Her most memorable purchase from a trip abroad? A young, huge Finnish pure horse that she rode for a work assignment near Finland’s Arctic Circle. He was going to be put to sleep the following week. Instead, Julia brought him to Sussex where he lived happily until the age of 31!
Day by Day Itinerary
We depart from London to Pula, Croatia. On arrival, transfer to our hotel in Opatija in the Kvarner Region. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore. Dinner will be in the hotel this evening.
