Christmas is observed slightly differently in France so, if you are looking for a change from the normal routine, this is an opportunity to celebrate in true Gallic style. The tradition is for everyone to sit down together on Christmas Eve for a long meal called a réveillon, and that is exactly what we will do in the unique surroundings of the Château de Montvillargene. Christmas Day is spent relaxing in the hotel and on Boxing Day (known here as St Stephen’s Day and not a public holiday) we will have a day of shopping and sightseeing in Paris.

Your Hotel

Set in 15 acres of parkland in the Forest of Chantilly, the Château de Montvillargenne is a magnificent 19th century château hotel, a former home of the Rothschild family. The hotel boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium, gym and tennis court. Wine is included with dinner each evening.

Please note all our bedrooms are in the original building. Bedroom upgrades are also available to the executive deluxe rooms. They are all individually designed and offer a higher level of comfort including a private whirlpool bath.
