Born in Ireland, educated in England and settled in Edinburgh, Mary has made Scotland her home for the last 30 years. She enjoyed a successful career in education and then spent a number of years travelling in North America. Keen to extend her knowledge, understanding and appreciation of her beautiful adopted homeland, she took the STGA Blue Badge course which gave her a fantastic opportunity to travel all over Scotland and get to know its regional history and customs.
