The spirit of adventure is something that can take over at any point and when you next feel like treating yourself to the vacation of a lifetime, we can help. We have a fantastic selection of long-haul tours on offer that can take you from the precariously perched Tiger’s Nest monastery in Bhutan to the cherry blossom-lined streets of Japan. A number of these itineraries may be a little more challenging due to altitude, extensive walking, uneven terrain or particularly long days, so please do check the relevant tour pages for the recommended fitness levels.
Are there themes on the long-haul tours?
If you’re wondering what the themes of our long-haul tours are, we can tell you that they cover all kinds of interests. Firstly, many of them pay visits to gardens, both well-known and privately owned. In South Africa, you will explore the botanical gardens of Kirstenbosch; on our Australian tour, you can look forward to a visit to Melbourne’s acclaimed Botanic Gardens along with a stopover in Singapore that includes time to wander around Gardens By the Bay; and in Marrakech, we will take you to the Majorelle Garden, home to over 15 endemic bird species and a fine collection of cacti. Elsewhere, our long-haul tours offer the opportunities to spot wildlife on game drives in stunning locations, explore the local culture and even enjoy a gastronomic taste of what the countries are known for.
