Summary

One of the largest gardening projects in Europe, RHS Garden Bridgewater has now opened to the public and we are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to visit it. This once in a generation project saw the Royal Horticultural Society take inspiration from the heritage of the site and transform it into a world-class garden.

Based on an overall design by leading landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith, highlights include one of the largest walled gardens in the UK, beautifully landscaped grounds, living plant collections and horticultural trials. As it matures it is sure to establish itself as one of the foremost garden attractions in the North of England.

We also have a visit to Bramall Hall a superb example of a Tudor Manor House with its dazzling wall paintings, Elizabethan plaster ceiling, Victorian kitchens and servants’ quarters. There is also an optional excursion to the Ness Botanic Gardens, part of the University of Liverpool which were born from one man’s absolute passion for plants and his dreams to share it with all as well as the fascinating city of Liverpool, hometown of the Beatles and the famous Royal Albert Dock.
