This short escape to beautiful Norfolk includes a diverse city stay in Norwich, a charming jaunt on the broads aboard the Southern Comfort Mississippi Paddle Boat and a day at the traditional English seaside town of Great Yarmouth. Norwich, the largest city in Norfolk is home to a medieval cathedral with imposing gates and ornate cloisters. Norwich Castle Museum a former royal fortification today houses an impressive collection of exhibitions on archaeology, natural history and works of art. The Norfolk Broads is a navigable network of waterways on the north-eastern edge of the county, and we have a relaxing trip aboard the quaint paddle boat in store as we meander the waterways and the lookout for local birdlife. Everyone loves a day at the seaside, sit back and dip your toes in the golden sands of Great Yarmouth beach, enjoy some traditional fish and chips or treat yourself to a stick of rock as you laze the day away with the smell of sea salt wafting on the summer breeze. For those who wish to join us, enjoy some time explore the seaside town of Cromer as well taking a trip aboard the nostalgic North Norfolk Railway.

Day 1 -
We depart from our designated pick-up points and travel through the vast and verdant countryside of Norfolk to the region’s largest city Norwich. On arrival at the hotel, you are free to spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure before dinner this evening in the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2 -
This morning we head to Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery. A landmark former royal fortification that was founded in the aftermath of Norman conquest of England. Today the castle is home to a fabulous galleries including those focussing on archaeology, natural and regimental history and all manner of art. Throughout the year the museum also hosts a variety of additional exhibitions, recently including Alfred Cohen: New Horizons featuring a selection of his works on loan from the Alfred Cohen Art Foundation and the Textile Treasures Exhibition featuring examples of patchwork, applique, and embroidery.
In the early afternoon to head to the picturesque village of Horning where we board the double decked luxury river cruiser, Southern Comfort Mississippi Paddle Boat. We gently glide along the waters of the broads passing quaint thatched houses, towering windmills, and drifting Norfolk reed beds. Along the way look out for the menagerie of waterbirds that call the broad’s home. We return to our hotel.
Day 3 -
This morning we take the short trip to the seaside town of Great Yarmouth, home to a long stretch of sandy beach and the Time and Tide Museum which regales the local history. There is also the Nelson Museum which documents the life of Admiral Horatio Nelson which makes for an interesting visit. Alternatively grab a deck chair and an ice cream or fish and chips, relax and enjoy a day of traditional English seaside life. In the late afternoon we return to our hotel for the evening.
Day 4 -
Today you may join our option excursion to Cromer, a traditional seaside resort on the north Norfolk coast. Situated on wind swept cliffs with several paths that meander down to the sandy beaches below, Cromer blends the charm of an ancient fishing village with a modern coastal resort. Explore the 14th century parish church of St Pete & St Paul, Cromer pier which was built in 1901 or perhaps the RNLI Henry Blogg Museum. For lunch you may wish to indulge in the famous and freshly caught Cromer Crab or just some good old fish n chips.
This afternoon we take the short trip to Sheringham where we find the North Norfolk Railway and embark on a nostalgic trip aboard the heritage railway that runs from the Victorian seaside town to the charming Georgian town of Holt. The relaxing journey only take 25 minutes but is one that winds through the countryside embracing the slower pace of Norfolk life.
Day 5 -
After breakfast we return to our original pick-up points.
