We have an optional visit to the delightfully fascinating open-air living museum of Beamish showcasing the areas industrial heritage and enjoy a full day exploring the university city of Durham, home to a wide array of historical buildings including Crook Hall, the Norman Castle and the Romanesque Durham Cathedral. Also on the agenda is a visit to the charming coastal town of Whitby, once home to the famous seafarer, Captain Cook and where you can enjoy the famous HM Bark Endeavour Experience.
