Bourton-on-the-Water
Bourton-on-the-Water

Summary

A relaxing getaway awaits as we explore the rural landscape and charming villages of the Cotswolds, with their gently rolling hills and spectacular vistas. On this five-day adventure, we explore the area’s most iconic villages filled with honey-coloured stone houses, gentle waterways, and quaint tea rooms such as Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

We enjoy a delightfully nostalgic journey aboard the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, reminiscing about bygone eras as we puff our way along the winding Cotswolds Railway that meanders some 28 miles through the countryside. We pass through sleepy hamlets and tranquil villages with stunning views across the Malvern Hills before visiting Snowshill Manor, home to the collections of Charles Wade – an eccentric architect and artist. There is also the chance to explore the cathedral city of Worcester, home to the impressive Worcester Cathedral, which sits along the banks of the river Severn, along with an abundance of museums, beautiful green parks, independent shops and many interesting places to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
