Brightwater Holidays Coach

We are often asked why our UK coach-based holidays don’t offer more local pick-up points throughout the country. Traditionally, all our tours of England and Wales have started in London while our tours of Scotland invariably depart from the two major cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, with additional pick-ups en route depending on the destination in each case. All this is about to change thanks to your valued feedback because in 2022, we will be introducing more regional departure points on a wide selection of tours, wherever the itinerary allows.

Choose your departure point across a variety of holidays

A good example of how this will work can be found on our popular tour that visits the newly opened RHS Garden Bridgewater and Gardens of the North West. Instead of all tours departing from London with further pick-ups at Luton, Northampton and Birmingham, on certain dates there will now also be departures from different regions of the country. So, for example, on 14th May the coach will depart from Eastbourne, Brighton, Gatwick, Reading, Oxford and Warwick, while on 3rd September it will depart from the north-east, with pick-ups in Newcastle, Durham, Darlington, Wetherby and Leeds.

Most of our Scottish tours will continue to depart from the usual points within the country, as often the departure times are dictated by a particular ferry sailing which would necessitate an unreasonably early start from the north of England. However, there are some tours, such as our Classic Scottish Steam Break and Caledonian Days itinerary, where we are now offering departures from the north-east and north-west of England and also, with the addition of overnight stops, from the south coast and from London.

Please refer to the PDF leaflet which gives full details of the departure points that are available for every holiday. Certain departure points may be subject to minimum numbers. On some tours, depending on the location of the visits on the first and last day and the route taken, alternative visits may be provided.
